Review - Lord of the Flies by William Golding

I got a request recently to write about some books I have read in high school. This is the first one.

"LORD OF THE FLIES by William Golding was a great book. It contained equal amounts of suspense, danger, violence, and power hungry kids. This book completely and thoroughly describes what would happen if a bunch of kids actually got trapped on an island. I might not want to read this book again, but I sure am glad I read it the first time."

This is the first book I read in high school and I'm glad I got the chance. I look forward to posting about the other books I have read and am reading currently.

  1. I have the conch! It's my turn to talk. :)That's so funny you chose this one to review first of your HS reads! I was just thinking and talking about this one yesterday! We are on the same reading wavelength. It was a kind of disturbing book if I remember it correctly. I was surprised they had us read it in school, but I might need to go back and reread it. I don't think I paid enough attention to really understand it.

    1. I have the conch now! Your right. It is a little bit disturbing, but also realistic. It's just the truth that if you put a bunch of kids on an island and think that everything needs to be organized, someone's going to oppose your views. It was a little creepy but life can be that way.
